S. Walia, M.D.
Dr. Walia is a native
of India and Board Certified Anesthesiologist. He came to
the United States in 1994 and completed his
anesthesiology residency at the University of Medicine
and Dentistry in New Jersey, where he served as an
Administrative Chief Resident. He was also awarded an
Excellence Award and judged as departmental role model
for customer service. Dr. Walia followed this with a
fellowship in Pain Medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital
in Maryland where he had the opportunity to interact with
and work under the guidance of renowned pain physicians.
His particular interests are Complex Regional Pain
Syndrome and Cancer Pain Management. He is a member of
numerous societies and has contributed greatly to the
field of Pain Management through his various studies and
publications.
Dr. Walia is an avid reader and enjoys music.
